Island Bay’s multi-award winning chef and founder of Kavita’s Kitchen, Kavita Anand invites you to a gourmet curry tasting where you will have the chance to sample some of the best curries in New Zealand.


Join Kavita as she shares her tips and tricks for making a healthy, delicious curry in less than 30 minutes using her fresh and 100% natural curry pastes. Kavita’s Kitchen curry pastes have been developed by Kavita using her family’s recipes and also her knowledge and expertise about traditional recipes. Her curry pastes are hand crafted using quality natural ingredients.


Kavita’s Kitchen’s plant-based curry pastes have been slow-cooked and hand-stirred to create exotic flavours and take the stress and time out of making delicious curries at home.


This is both a learning and eating event! Following a shared entrée of vegetarian pakoras and kebabs, you’ll be served a selection of four main dishes including koftas and a mixture of vegetarian and meat curries. It will be a delicious lunch!


Note: All food is vegetarian, and mostly vegan. It is all gluten and dairy-free, however it has been prepared in facilities that may contain traces of gluten. It is not suitable for those with Celiac disease, or other serious reactions to gluten, nuts or dairy.
