Garage Sale &
Swap Day

Saturday 14 February is all about community, reuse, and great finds across Island Bay. Garage sales will pop up
all around the Bay throughout the day and head to the
Island Bay Community Centre for the Clothes and Crop Swap.

Garage Sales

A proud Island Bay tradition, residents have been making garage sales part of the festival since the 1980s! It’s a fun, community-focused way to declutter, connect with neighbours, and give new life to pre-loved items.

Whether you set up your sale in your garage, on your driveway, or with a table in the front yard, everyone is welcome to join in. Don’t worry if your house isn’t on the main street—just fill in our form below, and we’ll include your sale on the festival Garage Sale Map, so visitors can find you.

Building on this long-standing tradition and encouraging sustainability, we invite residents to trade goods with one another with or without money involved. Bring your clothes, crops, books, or other treasures to swap, sell, or share, and be part of a festival that celebrates community and reuse.
