Alex MacGibbon

Alex has brought her skills in visual design and communication to the team and refreshed the 2022 Festival branding, billboards and social media channels. She first met the Trustees in spring 2021 to start discussions about the 2022 Festival planning.

Alex and her family of four have lived in Island Bay since 2011. She was involved in Island Bay Playcentre for many years and values that time and the friendships and community connections made. Having grown up in the eastern Bay of Plenty right on the coast Alex has a strong connection with the ocean and concern for our coastal environment. 

When she's not working (or volunteering), gardening or with her family, you'll find her enjoying the cool clear ocean of the South Coast with friends in a local ocean swimming group.
