Kavita Anand is an multi-award winning chef and founder of Kavita’s Kitchen. She has lived in Island Bay for over 20 years and loves good food and family.


She started Kavita’s Kitchen in 2019 because of her passion for making healthy and delicious curry more accessible to the every-day, time-poor cook!


From a very young age, Kavita has been passionate about curry thanks to her grandmother’s exceptional cooking. Her love of these dishes grew over time and she wants others to be able to enjoy good quality curries at home.


Kavita’s Kitchen has grown into a small, family-owned business. It provides affordable and 100% natural plant-based curry paste concentrates. Boasting versatility, these pastes can be used to make curry, stir fry, slow cook, oven bake or BBQ quickly and easily.


Handmade with fresh ingredients, Kavita’s curry pastes are gluten, nut and dairy free and contain no added sugar, artificial colours or flavours.

They are available for purchase at Island Bay New World, Moore Wilson’s and other retailers.
